That's a double analog step and will give you a minimum of
a 3db worse signal to noise ratio. And unless you have a
cassette player in the high-end range, Revox, Nakamichi, Eumig,
then you are going to audio qualitiy in addition to the higher
noise level.
All the audio cards I've worked with have an audio input and it
would be far more sensible IMO to connect your Sony to the card
and go directly to audio files.
