We also have code on 4.5.9 that will sporadically/systemically dork up a
freechain in a file...
What it boils down to is running
/fp/rclerk foo -s0 -z bar -d -u
and hitting this code
@menu
[...]menu choice to add new record[...]
lookup - r=free -ep
end
I am sure there is some resident evil in that method of getting to a new
record within @MENU processing. What, I am not sure, but that appears to
be the culprit by coincidental evidence in our case.
Adding a new record in this application was a super bonus feature, so
it's not being used anymore. However, right this minute I cannot think
of the proper way to do this. Ideas?
