OT: Sound under Termlite

Seth,

On windows that I have tested, the BEEP causes the sound attached to the 
default SOUND in your Control panel Sounds to be played.  If the user 
has a theme that changes that sound or has disabled it, the BEEP will be 
affected.

I am currently using XP and a quick check of my sounds and there is no 
longer one called default

Mine does not beep and I guess I have too many disabled with NONE as the 
sound choice.  I get tired of all those crazy sounds.  I just leave the 
ones that help me.

But I think this line of investigation might give you the info you want.
