Well, I said the last blurb would be the final notice about the deadline for
getting the filePro Survivor Addendum CD magazine. But, I've been good and
waited a whole week since the last advert... and since there are only two
days left, I just have to allow everyone the courtesy of one more reminder.
If you purchase the filePro survivor Series full programming tutorial by
midnight on August 31st, you will automatically get the first year of the
fPSA. This will be a CD released quarterly, starting October 1, 2005 that
has lots of step-by-step movies about filePro coding on them. There will be
one useful (hopefully) mini-application on each CD, along with as many
little movie examples of filePro code and syntax as I can muster. These
quarterly CD's will cost you $75/yr if you don't get them along with the
Tutorials. On September 1st, I will open up the link on my site which will
allow you to subscribe to just the CD magazine itself. But, why not avail
yourself of the full programming set and get it as a bonus. I know everyone
feels they already know everything that could possibly be on the CD's...
admittedly, most of us are advanced to expert level around this forum.
However, they are an excellent resource to give a newcomer to filePro,
perhaps someone you've just hired... who has to learn filePro in a hurry. I
truly believe there is no better way than to have them take this course.
There is NO previous programming knowledge required, and NO previous filePro
knowledge required to take and understand the full course. By the time
anyone has gone through the Advanced CD, they will be able to do just about
anything in filePro and more importantly, have a solid base from which to
learn any other commands which are not specifically covered in the
tutorials.
I've been telling you that I'm getting nothing but rave reviews and thanks
from everyone who has bought the CD's so far. This week I was told that it
is sort of unfair to keep saying things like this with no attribution to
*who* actually has been saying all the good stuff about the CD's. That's
fair... one person early on, said it was like telling everyone my mother
liked the product... Well, of course, *she* would like it... (if she were
alive that is...) Seriously, though, I take the point. So, I asked just one
of the people who sent me a note this week after receiving the series, if I
could use his remarks... happily, he said yes. Here is the short thread. It
says it all... just about exactly what I've been saying all along. Again, I
can't thank all of you enough for buying into the series... I am so happy
that it is meeting with such great approval and that you all have felt your
money was *well spent*. I will strive to make each issue of the fPSA add to
your enjoyment and edification. Working on it already.

Below follows a thread, which I SO appreciate, and which says it all...

That's it. Hope you all get in under the wire. After that, you may still
purchase the series, of course, but it will not include the fPSA, that will
be an extra $75/yr. I wish I could just send these things out for free, but
obviously, that is impossible.
