Printer control commands for EPSON FX 2190

| Looking for escape sequence to set page length on
| an EPSON FX 2190 - We print forms / reports that
| vary in length and they all share the same printer.

| I contacted support tech and all I got was a
| "we do not support unix!" from them.

| I am trying to use $1b430012  where 12 is the
| page length in inches but it is not working.
| 
| Is any one successfully doing this?  If so,
| could you please share commands?

What happens if you leave out the 00 ?
