What clock?
If fp replaced its db engine with mysql it'd probably run slower and I 
probably wouldn't like it any more.
fp can employ lots of speed & efficiency tricks internally thanks to the 
flat file structure and lack of relational and transactional features.
If I wanted to use mysql, I'd use mysql.

imagine that somethings brightness is a measure of it's goodness.
filepro is pink
mysql is yellow
imagine looking at them both on a black & white tv.
they are the same shade of light grey
they are both "82% good"
they are just different, good at different things.
