Just as an experiment, restore the file and then run freehn against it.  Rebuild
you index and then try your report.

If I recall correctly, rj will right justify anything placed in the field.  If
this is strictly a numeric field, why not leave it as (2,.0)?

My best guess about your problem is that you may have had bad data in this field
and changing the format eliminated the data when chagrining the value from ASCII
to numeric.
