fax to e-mail

Besides using a fax machine equipped with a network board to send an 
incoming fax to a particular e-mail address, is anyone out there using any 
other technique that serves the same purpose?

In our quest to remove our handling of paper, we are very pleased with this 
new approach. Just wondering if anyone has come across anything that may be 
more cost effective than buying the fax machine and adding a board.

We are not concerned with outgoing faxes.
