That's why, prior to your explaining _how_ you moved the data, several
people suggested that you corrupted the data in the copy by using, for
example, ftp in text mode.

Assuming that the file worked on the old system, there is no reason
for it to not work on the new system, if you simply copied the files
from one drive to another on the same system.

Are you absolutely 100% certain that the file worked on the old system
_immediately_ prior to your copying it?
