printing filePro to Datamax printer

The first question is "can you print to it from the Unix command prompt?"
If you can't print there, then obviously filePro can't, either.  If you
can, how exactly would you print a short file to it?  In other words,
what command would you use here:

    cat filename | what_command_goes_here

(No, this isn't really a "useless use of cat", as I want to make sure
that the command is getting the file via a pipe, just as it would i
filePro were printing to it.)
