The last FP Room Meeting... the movies from it

By the way, the new "thing" from FP Tech which I announced last night to 25
people or so is that Bud Henshen has suggested that we do a special
once-a-month meeting with him and FP Tech staff. This meeting will be
non-technical, more for VARS, developers and end-users covering questions on
filePro and its direction, policies, possibilities. The first meeting will
be at 4pm EDT, May 18th. Hopefully, we can make this a third-Wednesday every
month.

This is just a fantastic idea and we will all strive to make it a certain
reality by not having these meetings turn into a finger pointing, ranting
kind of thing. If we all stay calm and professional like we usually do in
the FP Room, this new point of communication between the filePro community
and the authors of filePro should be extremely valuable... and it is
certainly something we have _never_ had before. Let's all try to be there

This really gives you NO flavor of what a room meeting is like... it is just
me babbling on about one filePro thing or another... in order to start
discussions off. These little movies come up in Windows Media Player and you
can press Alt-Enter once they are running to go to Full Screen Modes which
gives you the very best view of the entire screen. Try them out... but
better yet, try the room itself and talk to the people... this is nothing
like that.... these are just filePro how-to flicks. Talking to live people
about filePro (and food, and politics... and etc.) is the really fun (and
valuable) thing to do.

These are all fun and might be useful to you in some way. I also put up a
small filePro table that demonstrates one way to use FairView inside
filePro. (It can function entirely well without filePro as a stand-alone
viewer... however, this app shows how to view a relevant picture every time
you move to a different filePro record. You can up and down arrow through a
file and be showing the related picture to each record seen. Very cool thing
with unlimited uses. Imagine the day's X-ray films on a per patient basis.
The doctor could flip record by record seeing each plate and making his
comments... all automatically.

As for the new feature request to FP Tech (and Ken)... it is a real
zinger... It would make printing reports and forms with pictures and logos
and signatures a "dead-simple" and "dead-on-flexible" breeze. I think the
way I describe it and demo it, it appears to be an easy add-in.
