filePro loves this printer

Thanks for the tip. We were recently trying a fairly new HP (I think it was
a 5510??... not sure, I'll look.) Anyway, it had terrific specs and built
in wireless! It was $144 with a $50 rebate from CDW I think. Huge workload
quoted, fast speed, filePro seemed to work with it just great... but, it
kept screwing up. Silly things, like paper jamming, or just stopping in the
middle of a print... but worse, the wifi just kept going flakey... on and
off again, set and unset. Even hard wired, there were strange problems. I
can't say that has _ever_ happened to us with anything HP before... Rick
took it home and he is having zero trouble with it. Maybe it was something
in our net environment... but that is hard to believe... anyway, we'll try
this one out. If it has a reasonable duty cycle it sounds good. Only thing
looks odd is the 9ppm in black. That seems low, but if it really does that,
it is fast enough for me. I hate the printers which say 15ppm and you see
the pages crawling out... very untenable spec on most printers.

Anyway, we replaced the cheapo wifi printer with some other HP... I also
forget what... but it has been working flawlessly. I'm forgetting a lot
lately... :-) I must be getting OldTimer's. This was only a month or so
ago., too. :-( Oh well, it wasn't actually me putting the printers in, so
that's some excuse. As for that 5510, though, I _still_ believe it was one
helluva deal... even at $144 or $150 (like in CompUSA). Amazing, with wifi
and works with filePro. I think our situation was just flukey and flakey
somehow... because when it worked, it worked great.

Sorry to muck up the list with a blatant commercial for a printer but
..........
I have bought 5 of these now, for various fp customers and it is just about
the best deal/printer I have ever seen on a Windows/filePro compatible
printer in years.

HP DJ 450ci, 9pgm b&w, 3pgm color, 1200x1200 resolution, USB 2.0, PCL3
compatible ...even comes w/both ink cartridges (fat ones) and a PARALLEL
cable....shock.

I put the url/link to tigerdirect.com in the original fplist email but
celestial.com keeps bouncing that email......I guess thats too much of a
technical revolution.
