This is the old dictionary argument I used to get into with my parents when
I was a kid. I do distinctly remember being told to look it up -anyway-.
I don't believe I won a single one of those arguments. :)
Note that it says "something" about the technology, not "everything".
Going in knowing absolutely nothing leaves you entirely open to
disinformation and indoctrination into really bad practices--you won't know
any better. If you know -something- about the technology, you can gather
more specifics, but you at least have -some- baseline against which you can
guage whether something reads correctly or "doesn't seem quite right".
