I find it more disturbing that for most of the time Pink Floyd was really
popular, Syd Barrett was all but catatonic and living in his mother's
basement.  So much of his story is just tragic.  He's apparently
like...more or less recovered now, and even released at least one new
album.  But apparently he goes ballistic if you even mention the old days
to him.  :-/

At least Morrison was dead.  Barrett suffered for two decades.  Personal
point of distinction on my part.  Both cases are bad, however.
