Well, perhaps, but it's not all that uncommon, when one is part of a
small technical community that's known to have worked on things similar
to that with which you're having trouble, to ask amongst them before
turning to other, more formal channels.
It's not entirely OT to talk about SCO or BackupEdge in here, either,
but we do it from time to time, usually productively.
