ps auxww |less
I think I've seen it deployed and it was called giserver. Depending on how
the commandline is assembled, it could have run off the end of the screen
and been invisible unless you specify the wide output. And -don't- use -S
on less! You'd be chopping it with the pager rather than just by default
of ps in that case.
Sounds like it's probably not running anyway, but at least you can more
reasonably be sure of it if you look more closely.
