As data keeps growing you will eventually run out of space.
Maybe it's time for a new backup device.
Let me suggest the little VXA - from Ecrix who have been acquired
by Exabute.
33GB in native mode, and 66GB in compressed. Fast too. My RH
client is running about 100MB minute backup rate.
The drive comes in either SCSI or IDE, and if you run it in an IDE
ineterface you need to use SCSI emulation in IDE - as the drive is
essentially a SCSI drive with an IDE interface.
All you have to do in that event is add a line to /etc/lilo.conf
right after your line where you see root=/dev/hda2 [typical
line].
The next line will be
append="hdc=ide-scsi"
The 'c' is because this primary on the scondary controller.
List $699.
