Windows 2000 2 GB file limit

List:

I have a client who has two fP files that are mirror images of each
other except for the data contained therein. One is the working file
and the other is an archive file that contains records archived from the
working file via an archive process run by MS Task Scheduler each
evening. Last night the key file the reached Microsoft 2GB file size
limit which stopped the archive process. I renamed the file temporarily
and set up a new key file and ran the archive process this morning but
would like to access the now-unavailable archived key. I can obtain
Tuesday night's key file from their backup but would still potentially
be missing some data from Wednesday. Does anyone have any suggestions
on how to allow filePro to access this key file. Currently, the fP
Directory report the number of records as a large negative number.
Sorry to post a question caused by another Microsoft liability but I
need to work within my client's system. No need for any Microsoft
rants. Any suggestions appreciated.
