Untrue. We used to get ADSL from a small local Tampa provider, copper
by Verizon, and they were happy to assign us a public /28, and route
it, so we could firewall it -- I have no doubt that if we'd brought our
own address space, tehy'd have advertised it; the techsupport guys both
had the keys to the GSR.
