Stipulated. But as David very clearly pointed out, Mark's immediate
goal -- this was clear to me as well -- was not to get fpTech to fix
something; it was more to gain concensus that indeed, there was a
problem. You can construe that as "We don't like to waste your time",
though I think "we hate to look stupid" is closer... but in any
event, it can be a fix with a fairly wide impact -- making sure that
"it's not just me" seems a) a pretty sane thing to do and b) to be what
Mark was, in fact, doing.
I concur with David, too, on his observation that if you get 15 reports
of the same problem, you're gonna prioritize it a lot higher.
