If you VPN the workstation to the remote LAN, possibly using a SnapGear
router at the UNIX end, you can assign a *fixed* private addresss to
the workstation, and yes, use smbclient to print back to it -- it
doesn't care a whit what the network in the middle is, and indeed,
doesn't even care if your workstation's *public* address is static.
