SuSE we're a bit new at, but I see no problems on my RedHat filePro
systems.  My oldest one is running RH5.2 -- which was new when we set
it up -- and hasn't givn us, so far as I recall, *any* Linux related
trouble.

And Linux has a *much* more capable (and better documented) admin
toolset.
