proven themselves an utter git by pronouncing:

Well after that kind of buildup, I hate to let you down. But I think
I'll pass. What I think of you isn't based on anything -technical-,
Tom. It's a matter for a private discussion that will -never- take place
because you're not worth the amount of stress it would cause me to have the
discussion. :)
But since you want help in addition to gratuitously poking at me, let's cut
through your grandstanding political agenda bullshit and just look at what
you have on the technical side, shall we? I'm not getting any younger.
> Since moving filepro to a fedora core 1 box, system calls within processing
Fedora Core 1, in a -production- environment? You're a glutton for
punishment. This is an ill-advised scenario to begin with.
> mail -s Vacation_Requests name at company.com </tmp/vacations
Looks sane enough, except you're calling "mail" without a fully qualified
path, which could result in the "other" mail being called on some systems.
One is the MUA we all know of. The other is not meant to be called in this
fashion. Depending on path precedence is not a good idea on this one. I'd
specify the full path. But that's not the problem. It's bad form, to
assume an environment however. You could get very odd results if you
switched this to a cron job, for instance.
> WARNING: RunAsGid for MSP ignored, check group ids (egid=51, want=524)
You could simply plug "RunAsGid ignored" (without quotes) into Google and
follow the first link, which is:
http://www.brandonhutchinson.com/RunAsGid_for_MSP_ignored_error.html
That article should answer your question in full, and provides the
solution, although you will have to adapt it to your actual environment,
which is a very minor thing considering the trivialty of the fix.
As always, hugs and kisses!
