Agreed,

Dialectical struggles are ruling our lives... their is an inexorable tide
moving over us... we all need to swim or sink...

Meanwhile, Mike Gallagher wrote back to me. He told me that the show I was
listening to was a re-run and that days earlier the item was on his site.
Therefore he was not lying and/or pandering as I thought... though it was
the first and most obvious thing to think. There was NO way to tell his show
was not live when I was listening to it. I sent him an apology... I'm sure
he will respond in kind for saying that would take joy out of seeing that
gruesome act. I believe now that this guy may have some redeeming
qualities. At least he took the time to set the record straight and explain
why the problem existed and it appeared as if he was just lying...

You're right though, I should just tune away... I usually do. It is just
that after being duped so many times by scams and soot-peddlers on the
net... I pride myself in being able to tell the difference. I actually
liked the way this guy sounded on his show... he "compelled" me to go to his
site. When I got there and found nothing... and thought it was a scam of
the worst sort... I wrote the email to him. It is the very first time
anything on TV or Radio has caused me to respond with an email... and I have
had email for about 25 years now!!! That is quite a bit longer than most...
(It will probably take another 25 years for me to go pro-active again...
brutal beheadings just do that to me...)

  John;

  Calm down. Walk away from the radio. Better yet,
  instead of infringing on other people's right of self expression
  read this:

  "Amendment I

  Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof;

  or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press;

  or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the
government for a redress of grievances. "

  This guy; Mike Gallagher; has his right to speak whatever he wants;
(except FIRE in a crowded theater).
  You have the right to listen. You also have the right to switch stations
or turn the butthead off. Simple.

  This Constitution protects all of us; buttheads included. The FCC clamps
down on people (Howard Stern)
  who go over the line but the FCC or any other government body CANNOT take
away our right to make fools
  out of ourselves.

  Believe it or not we need people like Mike Gallagher, Rush Limbaugh,
Howard Stern and Al Franken. We
  need them to be out there, giving us their opinions; then we can make up
our own minds. The only way we
  can hope to change this country is to; first listen and seek to
understand. Then talk and hope to be understood.

  As for me; I never argue with anyone, I do, from time to time, engage them
in a dialectical struggle. I understand
  them and their eschewed views and try to get them to understand mine.

  Anyway, John, calm down and turn the radio off or change the channel.

  Have a great day and, Mr. Esak, make the day count!

  Will Steeves
