| reads the 82,000 some odd records.  It's okay and runs great, but,
| well, you know how some people can be.  They want things NOW.

Of course you're using "standard everyday automatic indexes".
There aren't any other kind of automatic indexes.  :-)

I was talking about a sort-select table to quickly select a few records
and then quit.  Have a look at
