The source is riddled with bad assumptions.
Just tried to build it on sco and have to put it aside until later.
Tried. Sorry. Maybe tomorrow. :)

Looks like simple but tedious stuff so far, so it looks like it will be able
to be built on sco, just that every time I fix something it only gets a tiny
bit further and hits something else. The things have so far been fixable but
I just can't give it any more time at the moment.

Given the above, and given that the supposed point of the utility is to make
more robust scripts, maybe it shouldn't be trusted much even when it becomes
available?
