If you 'll do a serach for vt120 you will find audio amplifies,
anemometers, remote controls, etcetera. But you will not find
any terminals identified as vt120. VT220, 320, 420 but no 120
I'd suggest changing to a known termcap, and then going from that
point forward. Not all VT terminals supported pass thru printing -
that was the main difference between a VT100 and a VT102 - however
most emulations don't differentiate.
You also said xterm. And while some xterms emulate vt terminals,
it really would help to know just what OS version you are running.
I'm looking at an FP distributed xterm termcap and there is no
\E[4i in it, nor is there on in the xterm posted by
Rick Henderson to this list last fall.
It might also help if you posted OS and version as those are also
used in conjuction.
