The below comment is incorrect. That is not what an "&" does. It does not
"leave a space". The ampersand merely joings two expressions (fields)
without adding or subtracting anything. If there is space it will stay
there, no matter how many spaces there are... the description below implies
(or states) that an ampersand leaves a space. Not right.
