Hence my comments about if it's not a standalone...

And Arcadia's linux side of the dual-boot is still RH 5.2.  No, I'm not
kidding.

Hardly requiring of an OS upgrade.  You can jumper in AA battery packs.  I
did that on a 486.

I'm building a nice collection of hand-rolled RH-cooperative rpm's for 7.2
and 7.3 systems that have updated versions of things.  Kernel 2.4.25, PHP
4.3.4, and I'm working on perl 5.8.3, although that's being quite bitchy
because of how they implemented it and the dependancies back and forth.  So
far, it's my least favourite of the lot.  Unlike PHP and the kernel, this
one is for features, not security.  Perl 5.8 has -vastly- improved signal
handling over everything prior to 5.7.3.  I don't mean just a little, I
mean a lot improved.
