I am far less sure of myself saying "I know that won't crash if I try it" in
windows. In fact, I simply wouldn't have, and won't now, make that claim in
this context. No matter how simple seeming something is, all I would do is try
it and see what happens and not be surprised at all if it crashes.

We hit stuff every now and then that crashes fp there that doesn't crash in
unix. I have no handy recent examples though as we've avoided selling any new
windows based systems for over 2 years now. It's such a pleasure never having
unpredicted, unexplainable and unfixable problems any more.

In the case of mysterious windows/fp crashes I usually fiddle with the
compatibility setting in the icon and see if it crashes in 95 or 98 or 2000
compatibility mode, try forcing it to use command.com instead of cmd.exe,
network settings, antivirus settings, etc...
