Is the Nitrate flim the stuff that degrades really badly?  I seem to
remember the BBC lost a lot of film to degradation.

I remember my parents had an 8mm (why do I think "super 8" when I think
of that thing?) and we had several reels, including Mr. Magoo.  I loved
that one as a kid. :) And my vision is getting to be about as good as his
these days. *chuckle* I know it's time to consider wearing contacts again,
despite my last really bad experiences with them, when I change Windows to
display all fonts in "Large Fonts" mode.  :-/

I remember begging them to set that thing up more often--we'd project it
just onto the wall, actually--and play, but it was one of those rarities.
I suppose that's why it's as fond a memory as it is.
