PHP is eeeeeevilllllllll! And people say -perl- is a moving target? :)
It's also amazing the ratio of PHP:Perl security alerts that are issued. I
hardly ever see perl alerts. I see many, many PHP-based alerts. Sometimes
in the core, more often just poor scripting. I'm convinced PHP is a magnet
for poor coders--present company excluded, of course. Given the amount and
type of basic security issues I've seen, I'm not sure the core is written
very well at all. We'll ignore the fact that it changes version numbers
more often than Teal'c changes allegiances. *grin* I've also been told by
those that work with it that you can never really be sure the API doesn't
fall out from under you between even minor releases.
I think I'll pass on PHP, thanks. :) I'd be far more tempted to actually
look at python, if I was in the market to learn YAL.
