Using mkpcl

OT: Using mkpclJim can certainly help you with this... also, there are some
pointers on Nancy's pages about this. I would use a macro to combine these
files... just as a macro load could combine a picture with the rest of a pcl
form or report... As for long lines in "vi"... you need to get a hold of
"vim". It allows you to edit binaries files just fine... "vim -b file" . It
is extremely useful.

P.S. - Jim is nearly _always_ in the FP Room throughout the business day (as
it is seen from Vancouver! :-) People not visiting the room during the day
are missing out on one the best PCL resources in the country... Don't want
to embarrass Jim, but a spade is a spade.

  Howdy!

I wrote a simple form using HPGL. With this form, I need to
  combine/include a logo.

The for and the logo, each print just fine if individually
printed. My problem is having them both print on the same
  page.

The resulted PCL file from [mkpcl source target] is a very
long line. I cannot edit it using vi ... Since I cannot
edit it (or don't know how), I am having a pretty hard time
getting these two files into one.

I tried the good old >> to place one on top of the other and
produce a third file but simply printed each on a page by
itself. This means, the each have their own page settings
(if you will). I get same even if I place them in two
different printer codes and load them individually.

So, what can you guys recommend I do to get two PCL files
into one and hopefully, gain ability to edit using vi or
  similar editor?

  Thanks;

  Jose Lerebours

PS: I have done all I can to make sure it gets to you in
text mode. Hopefully it does ... sorry if it does not ...
