I noticed Ken mentioned Brainboost.com in one of his messages near the very
end. This is a hell of a new resource on the net. I showed it to him when he
visited a few weeks ago and have been meaning to mention it here. Go check
it out. It gives answers to questions in a refreshing "real" way... not just
citing links as does, say Google. Uses some new AI techniques.
I remember mentioning that I used Google (on the list) quite a long while
before it was known by many... even Tech-TV (if they were even around...)
:-) and I got quite a few emails asking what I meant. Just in case you
didn't catch that you simply go to www.brainboost.com and ask any
English-worded question, that's all there is to it.
For example, you can ask "Who invented ethernet?" and you will get some very
accurate answers about Metcalf, PARC and their inventing it to help allow
the whole building to use the new "laser printer" that was also being worked
on at the time...

P.S. Once again... nothing to do with anything... but should you want to
read the real skinny on just about every major PC-based computer invention
in the 70's that completely govern everything about PC's even today... read
"Dealers In Lighting"... one of the very best computer references I have
ever seen, if not the very best. Simply amazing stuff.
