Mark, key fields have to be modified all the time. You just have to know
that, if you modify a key field, you cannot do a getnext or getprev.. You
have to re-execute the lookup.
I do agree with you that filePro giving the wrong error message or the wrong
line is exasperating but it happens infrequently. Most of the time is right
on the error. It used to be that it only took you to the offending line.
Now it tried to point you to the error and I think that is a big
improvements even if it does not work 100% of the time.
