Yes, at least on the IBM 2300 printers that I'm using now, except
that the minimum page length setting was something like 3", and I don't know
if the auto tear-off setting will work for labels that are any shorter. (I
didn't try any shorter labels.)
That wasn't a problem for me, because I was printing 4x5 shipping
and inventory labels, 2-up. Tearing or peeling off the 2 labels at a time
isn't a problem, because the Lexmark 23/2400 series printers have the
tractors positioned so that when a form goes to the tear-off position, you
can get at it more easily than most printers. The top of the printer, where
you do the tearing off, is flatter than most printers, so that you can get
to the label easily and peel it off without knocking everything out of
whack. Just make each label 1 form, then program the printer to have a form
length equal to 1 label.
I guess the best thing to do is check the specs on the newer Lexmark
2400 dot matrix printers, then see if they will work for your size label.
