	It depends on your application.

	If your labels are in zip code order and you're working with most
label applying machines (ie, Cheshire) then you have to print the labels
across the page if you want to keep them in zip code (or any other) order.

	If you are printing human readable pages, like a membership list for
a club, then people generally prefer to read the names top to bottom, like a
phone book.

	And, if your labels aren't in any particular order, then it doesn't
make any difference how you print them.

	I mention this because in several cases, I've seen the mailing crews
at some of my customers wasting their time trying to keep the letters in
perfect order in the trays, even though the mailing that they are working on
is going out at full first class rates.  At full first class rates, you
don't have to keep the letters sorted in order and put in labeled trays.
Just dump them into a bag and ship them out.

	Most of you are aware that you can get a substantial discount on
postage by pre-sorting your outgoing mail.  However, many businesses,
especially churches and clubs, aren't aware that they can get this discount
with as few as 200 pieces.
