Why SuSE 9.0 vs. 9.1?

I haven't really gotten far enough yet... but the inability to log in
by ssh by default troubles me.  It answers the phone, but won't accept
my password for root or a user, and doesn't seem to log why not
anywhere.

I don't know what it's ATI TV-out compatibility is like -- and that's
critical for this implementation -- but it's next.
