Why SuSE 9.0 vs. 9.1?

Mostly that, yes.  I'm presently fighting a different fight: KDM  has
died the Death, apparently because I downgraded XFree from that
sillyass 4.3.99.1 (4.4.0RC2) that they install to 4.3.0 from SuSE 8.1
so I could get TV Out for the Myth box I'm building my sister...

and sshd won't accept any logins either, and the console is 80 columns
on a TV set, and...

<sigh>
