I missed out on saying that that argument is utter hogwash, in my
earlier reply, so I just want to say it now.

What we're paying for is a *license to use the package on our
computer*.  I'm pretty sure the slip of paper you get with it says so.

What it *is* similar to is Kenwood saying, "Oh, you want to take your
stereo out of your Corvette and put it in your new Bimmer?  Sorry; you
can't do that; that model of stereo only works in Corvette's.  But
we'll be happy to sell you a *new* stereo that only works in Bimmers;
full price."

Ah yes.  SCO 5.0.7.   The "Pay-us-all-over-again, just-so-your-P4-will-
work" release.  Assholes.

Well, I don't know precisely what your commercial support requirements
are, Enrique, but you may or may not need the enterprise grade distros
to actually get your work done.  Certainly, if $4k is an issue, then
it's worth investigating things like SuSE 9.0.
