Sure they did. My parents did that long before any teacher did. My
comeback has always been, "How are you supposed to look something up if you
don't know what you're looking up in the first place?"

True enough, but I consider this community the prime resource for fP
questions. fP question? This is the first place that pops into my head
after the manual, which brings us back to the catch-22.

Because your MUA (not you, so no offense) doesn't follow instructions:

"

  > reply with the body of this message, -INCLUDING- the signature below.
"

...Alas, you replied but your MUA sliced off the signature, which contains
the key with which to validate. :) I just manually authenticated you.
Sorry about that.

I don't do GUI MUA's, so Mozilla is out (I don't even like Mozilla...runs
like a dog on this machine, compared to IE 5.5, which is very surprising).
And I'm not on FBSD, I'm on Solaris for mail. Not familiar with toaster at
any rate. Maybe portable, maybe not. I've had very few problems with this
(2 in five months or so, out of all the mail I get--one was yours, and the
other was one whose MUA decided that including the original in the reply
meant to send it as a base64-encoded attachment--duh).
