         If I understand what you are describing....

         There was an article in SmallTalk , Summer 1992, Vol 9
No 2, page 13, by Michael Gomes "Browse Lookups: An Advanced
Technique". It contains the code for a browse lookup which
displays records that match as the user types a character.

         Howie also did this and posted his code on his website:
