Just a side note. There were over 1 million people on the mountain
when the fan(s) spit on Lance Armstrong. With that many crazy fans
someone up there is bound to not like Lance or the US. If I am not
mistaken JP speaks French and I will let him handle any negotiations
with the French.
GO JP!

A few quick points here John
1) Lance Armstrong was spit on by German fans. During later telecasts of
the race Andreas Kloden, a German rider currently in third place, could
be seen pushing one of those German fans off the course.
2) Fans of just about every sport in this country boo opposing players.
In many case they spit on them, throw batteries at them, threaten then,
and run on the field and attack them. The people who do this don't
deserve to be allowed into sporting venues but, once again, we don't
judge entire cities or nations based on the behavior of the worst of
their citizens.
3) With respect to government policies - governments change, and
frequently do not represent the wishes of their citizens. I certainly
would not want this nation or it's people to be judged based on the
policies of some of our recent administrations. For the record I
typically describe myself politically as a little to the left of Ramsey
Clark but I believe these points would still be valid if I was to the
right of Pat Buchanan.
