The old Radio Shack Model II had a Profile that was similar to
the one on the Model I. As I recall it used the separate
key, and 3 dat files. The upgrade to Xenix was for the then
new Radio Shack Model 16 - with the Xenix 1.3.1 ?? [I have 2 sets
of original 1.3.3 and 1.3.?]. The upgrade included the conversion
tool that coalesced the 3 dat files into one.
It's been a VERY LONG time ago but that version was pretty limited
and my memory says each of the key and dat files were only 256bytes
long.
I saw it running once at a site I got called into. They had the
fastest Radio Shack printer I'd ever seen. Don't know who OEM'ed
it but it was a true line printer - and I don't recall if it had
the moving band or the shaking head bar with a printhead for
each character position.
You had to make sure it had clearance behind as the paper came out
so fast you would get a jam on top of the printer.
Probably in the neighborhood of 700lpm - as was standard in those
days.
