filePro out to an existing Excel file

There is a way to do this in WIndows env.; however, I don't know about *nix.

We transfer data both ways from MSSQL and fp every day (using Excel's ODBC).
We use dif file format but I hear that csv also works well. I don't have
the worksheet load the the dif file automatically because I have been to
busy (and lazy) to write the macro. In Lotus I could have done it in 5
seconds but alas I have not taken the time to learn VB or VBA.

A thought, could you use fpODBC to bridge fp and the Excel worksheet?

Thank you,
Rick Hane
