Index in use error

I am receiving a filePro error that an index can't be rebuilt as it is in use by
someone else.

As far as I know,
	1. No one was using this qualified file.  
	2. There is no lockfile. 
	3. Other indexes can be rebuilt
	4. No process running against this file/qual calling the index
	5. No processing table currently using this index (I think)
	6. Index can be deleted without filePro complaining that someone else is
using it.

This index uses a field created combining a number of fields as a lookup key
before multi-field auto indexes.  I am not sure that I eliminated all references
to this index, hence it hasn't been removed.

Any ideas of what to look for as to what is locking this index?
