Stick shift and rear wheel or four wheel drive.  I hate front wheel drive
with a passion.  Driving my brother's front wheel drive Ford Fiesta in
heavy snow, the only way to get the rear end around when it was
understeering was by judicious use of the hand brake (I really would have
preferred the fly-off style hand brakes from the early British sports cars
where one had to push and hold the button to keep the hand brake on).
