Likewise from Fairlight and Kelly! :)

Heh...more like the not-so-typical non-dummy variable. :)

Yeah, we have a little problem with that as well. No garage, just the
parking lot. Problem being that the wheels just spin on the ice under
them, we have no kitty litter, sand, or salt, the cab companies aren't
taking anything but emergencies, and at least the one dependable car rental
agency I've used here is entirely sold out.
To say we're inconvenienced at the moment is a bit of an understatement.
We -need- to get somewhere, and can't.

I have a nice view of my monitor, which for 8+ months has been at
brightness 255 because something in its settings blew a while back. I just
go snowblind artificially. :)

Sounds safer. Could be worse--I heard Indiana got 2.5 feet in some areas,
and they declared a state of emergency. Personally, I find that
ridiculous. I remember being a kid and having the sidewalk from our front
steps out to the main right-of-way sidewalk and even that being 3.5 feet
high with snow on both sides and we -still- dug out. No whiny state of
emergency, etc. Just plain silly. "Oh my god! A flake of snow! Call the
governor!" People south of I-80 don't seem to know how to handle winter
weather worth $0.10.
I can handle it if we could just get the #@)%*! car out of the parking
lot--we're only 40 feet from the plowed throughfare! Talk about
frustrating... Driving isn't a problem. Getting the car to move -is-.
Totally unprepared, as I thought it would be like 4", not 8-12+.
Off to try and find a rental car agency that has something. Sha, right...2
days from Christmas. That's gonna almost happen. I can hope someone
cancelled though.
Bah humbug. :)
Nah, seriously...annoyances aside, Merry Christmas, everyone! Stay warm,
be safe.
