The Targus Defcon Authenticator uses the AuthenTec AES4000 sensor, which
is one of the supported scanners, AFAIK.

So, the answer is "as far as I know, it should work".  However, don't take
that as any sort of "official" fPTech statement.

Remember, these scanners simply return an image of the print.  It's the
software that does the rest.  I believe that anything that can return an
image can work, but I haven't tried anything other than the two finger
scanners I have.  (Actually, by "supported scanners" above, I really
mean "comes with preconfigured parameters for the device".)
