OT: Strange Outlook behavior...

When asked his whereabouts on Sat, Dec 18 16:22 , John Esak took the 
fifth, drank it, and then slurred:

This doesn't have to do with outlook but first a question.

Did you put in the patches from MS that were released this past
week.

I did that.

And all of a sudden things got slow.  Intead of writing at about
8X on a DVD it was writing about 1.2X.  And 2.4x RW which I record
to from a recorder and then edit on this machine - normally read
about 3x to 4x started readling at about .7x.

I tried several things, and then realized that the only thing I had
done that affected anyting was the MS patches from Tuesday.

I used the XP restore, and set the system back to Sunday night
and everything is back up to speed.

As I said, not outlook, but extreme slowness on DVDs and other
items in the OS.
